Denison University is a private liberal arts college located in Granville, Ohio. Founded in 1831, Denison is one of the oldest liberal arts colleges in the country and is known for its rigorous academics and supportive community. All buildings on the campus are accessible by foot. Both academic buildings and all residence halls have Wi-Fi access. There are more than 160 clubs and student organisations, over 40 clubs, an arts organisation, a media organisation, a service organisation, etc. Religious institutions, fraternities and sororities with cultural roots, and multicultural and cross-cultural groups can all be found at the university.

 

Residence

Admission

Acceptance Rate

Denison University's acceptance rate stands at 28%, with an enrollment of 2,272 students from various states and countries, making the admission process moderately selective. A brief history of the University tells us that the former name given to Denison was Granville Literary and Theological Institution, the college then adopted the name Granville College until changing its name to the current one. There were 37 pupils in the first term, 27 of whom were from Granville, and nearly half of them were under the age of fifteen. The institution resembled an academy more than a college.
