The main campus of the university is located about 5 miles east of Downtown Cleveland in the University Circle district, which is home to a number of educational, medical, and cultural organizations. Computing: The first computer engineering program to receive ABET accreditation was at CWUR. The university established Chi Corporation, a private firm, in 1968 to offer computer time to other clients as well as itself.
