California Baptist University is a private Christian university located in Riverside, California, United States. The university was founded in 1950 as California Baptist College and was affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention until 1996 when it became an independent institution. Facilities

The university has a campus of 162 acres. The Riverside site offers on-campus housing, a recreation centre, an intramural sports facility, the Wallace Theatre, and a dining facility. It also houses one of the region's largest aquatic centres as well as the Annie Gabriel Library.

Students at the Riverside Campus can join over 50 student organisations, including the Art Therapy and Wellness Club, Athletic Training Student Organization, Biology Club, Black Student Union, Disney Club, and some others. Some of the top facilities provided by the university include -

 

Library - The Annie Gabriel Library is titled after Miss Annie Gabriel, whose contributions enabled the library's early collection expansion. The library houses over 110,000 print volumes and 150,000 e-books, and the library has over 30,000 journal titles and 79 databases. In addition to that their inventory has over 17,000 Discs and streaming films. There are books, journals, convention and association annuals, state newspapers, Sunday school curriculum materials, and other Southern Baptist publications available here at the Southern Baptist Depository and Archive. 

 

Dining - The major residential eatery here is the Alumni Dining Commons (ADC), which is located in the heart of the campus. They elevate the conventional all-you-can-eat culture by artistically creating each plate in the manner of each student's favourite restaurant. Their idea was motivated by Spanish tapas, which invites diners to try a variety of foods in sample-size servings. Their culinary team works relentlessly to create cuisines that are fresh, flavorful, healthful and rapidly served. They offer breakfast from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM every day, thereafter lunch is served from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM each day, and lastly, dinners are available from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM 

 

On-campus Residence - There are more than 10 residential spaces. Students can live in College Park flats, Lancer Arms suites, or The Cottages based on their gender and educational background. Tower Hall, Smith Hall, and Simmons Hall are the three residence halls here. These accommodations have amenities such as twin beds, dresses etc for undergraduate women and a bed, desk, sink etc for undergraduate men.
