About

Bradley University, founded in 1897, is a private institution accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Located in Peoria, Illinois, is a top-ranked private university that provides 5,400 undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunities and resources of a larger university as well as the personal attention and exceptional learning experience of a smaller university. It was previously known as Bradley Polytechnic Institute. The institute was renamed to its current name in 1946. With 14 faculty members and 150 students, the university began classes in Bradley Hall. By 1899, the institute had 500 students enrolled, and a number of subjects had been added to the academic structure. 

 

The four-year collegial programme was established by the university in 1940. In 1930, the university's first music building was constructed. Six undergraduate colleges and five graduate colleges make up the university. Furthermore, the university provides several scholarships to students who have a good academic record and perform well in the qualifying examination. It also provides financial assistance to students through work, study, grants, and loans. The university campus encompasses an area of 84 acres. It provides students with housing options. On campus, students have access to all necessary facilities. They have a peaceful learning environment. The campus is home to the Colleges of Education and Health Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Foster College of Business, and Communications and Fine Arts.

 

There are six residence halls on campus: Harper Hall, Geisert Hall, Williams Hall, Wyckoff Hall, Heitz Hall, and Bradley Hall, which was one of the first buildings built on campus. There is also a Dingeldine Music Centre on campus, where all of the practice and performances take place. In addition to the hostels, students can stay on campus in single dormitories and student apartments. Furthermore, the university is home to Peoria's National Public Radio (WCBU-FM).

 

Undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes are available at the university. According to records, the university has 1,500 students. It provides over 185 graduate programmes in subjects such as communications, business, engineering, education, health sciences, fine arts, liberal arts, and technology. Students are given instruction by experienced faculty members. They also have the opportunity to visit a variety of businesses for internships. The university also offers chemistry, biology, history, food work, sewing, physics, manual arts, mathematics, and language courses in English, German, Greek, and Latin.

The campus also has an on-campus library for students to use. Bradley's Global Living Learning Community is housed on Heitz, and it brings together students interested in exploring other cultures through international experiences, career interests, and campus activities.
