Bentley University is a private university located in Waltham, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1917 and is named after its founder, Harry C. Bentley. The university is known for its programs in business and technology, and it is considered one of the top business schools in the United States.
Bentley grants bachelor's degrees in 11 arts and sciences areas and 14 business-related fields of study. The graduate school places a strong emphasis on how technology affects how businesses operate. Facilities
The Upper, Lower, and North Campus are the three sections that make up Bentley University's campus. There are academic buildings and classrooms on Upper Campus. The residential halls for community living are also located here. Among the facilities on the Lower Campus are the Dana Athletic Centre, dorms for students, and a multipurpose open area. A shuttle service connects the upper campus to the nearly half-mile-away North Campus which houses housing and other amenities.
Accommodation - The university offers accommodation opportunities both on and off campus. Apartments, houses, and dorms can all be found on campus. Students have the choice of a single, double, triple, or quadruple residency. There are a number of residences such as The Trees Complex, Nathan R Miller Hall, Slade Hall, Copley Suits, Fenway Hall, Forest Suites etc. each building have a common area that is completely furnished, a kitchen that is fully functional, and laundry facilities
Library - It is a library located on campus and officially began in 1959. In the 2000s, the library began a $17 million renovation project which installed collaborative study rooms and comfortable seating for 745 users, 48 public computers, RFID technology for streamlined circulation of library materials, and online research resources for teaching and learning, was opened to the campus and Waltham communities. It now serves the research and information needs of the university's students, faculty, and staff. The library offers a range of resources and services, including books, journals, databases, and technology tools, as well as study spaces, group work rooms, and research assistance. It is open to the Bentley community and visitors during regular hours.
Sports - Flex the Falcon is Bentley's mascot. The university includes 23 varsity teams for both men and women. Except for the men's hockey team, which was one of the first six founding clubs of Atlantic Hockey at the Division I level, all of the teams compete in the Northeast-10 Conference at the NCAA Division II level. One of the top rugby programmes in the Northeast is located at Bentley. On campus, there is a multipurpose ice hockey facility called Bentley Arena where many of the athletic facilities are offered.
