Facilities

Alma College facilities are under the control of the Facilities and Service Management. In other words, they are in charge of overseeing the development and planning, capital project management, upkeep, repairs, and security of the campus's buildings, roads, utilities, grounds, and other elements. About 60 full-time employees and a variable number of part-time student workers make up the staff. Let’s take a look at some of the college’s facilities in detail below -

Shared Bike Programme:

Through the bike share programme, students can rent bicycles with an urban design. All they have to do is download the Movatic App or stop by the front desk to check out a bike. Although students and staff at the college are not charged to use the app, it does demand credit card information. Community members can subscribe for a fee of $30 per year. Students can also use the app for queries or report any difficulties.

Climbing Wall:

The majority of the Center's west wall is a 600-square-foot climbing wall with eight belay stations and lead climbing ropes. No prior expertise is necessary for students to use the climbing wall during open hours. Anyone under the age of 18 must have an adult sign them in, and anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Courts:

The Alan J. Stone Recreation Centre has one enclosed multipurpose court and three full-size courts. Basketball, tennis, pickleball, volleyball, badminton, and other sports can be played on these courts. For indoor sports and activities like indoor soccer, dodgeball, floor hockey and much more, our multifunctional court is ideal.

Fitness Centre:

In addition to a range of weight machines and free weights, the fitness centre has 26 cardiovascular machines, including eight treadmills, nine stationary bikes, five stair climbers, three elliptical trainers, and one rowing machine.
