Alfred State College (ASC, SUNY Alfred, SUNY Alfred State) is a public university in Alfred, New York. This university is included in the list of The State University of New York (SUNY) system. The Technical College in Alfred, now known as the Alfred State College, offers Bachelor’s and Associate degree programmes to all international and domestic students. It is a part of the Rochester Area Colleges consortium and has received accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
The Alfred Select School, an early teaching college, served as the inspiration for both Alfred University and Alfred State. The school's equal opportunity policy was forward-thinking. The New York State School of Agriculture was established on the Alfred University Campus in 1908 after President Boothe C. Davis of Alfred University convinced the New York State legislature to fund it with a $75,000 budget for three buildings, a farm, animals, and equipment.

Facilities
Alfred State has grown to include 13 residence halls, cutting-edge smart classrooms, a motorsports facility, an organic farm, the Orvis Activities Centre, and a second campus of Applied Technology in Wellsville, New York since its beginning. The college was originally founded with just three buildings, a farm, and some livestock. Football and soccer are played in Pioneer Stadium, which is encircled by an eight-lane running track. Other additional Alfred State College facilities include a central dining hall, a townhouse community with around 150 beds, an Engineering Technology Building, and a Student Leadership Centre which has been curated to help every student in need. The campus Engineering Technology Building houses the Brent Llewellyn Art Gallery at SUNY Alfred State in Alfred, New York, which opened its doors in 2010.
