Interior Design MA

On this course you will develop a holistic, user centred approach to interior design. We encourage you to embrace both analogue and digital technologies to produce innovative design solutions. You will study the latest developments in design thinking, and discover how future trends are shaping design, sustainability, construction, and manufacturing processes. The modules you will study on this course explore interconnected concepts of:

• Design thinking
• Entrepreneurship
• Advances in technology and materials
• Innovative spatial concepts.
• The circular economy
• The fourth revolution in design

These theoretical discussions will inform your decisions as you apply them to your own design projects.
 

You will have opportunities to collaborate with students from other subjects, to develop your own professional network and enhance your employability. You will also have the chance to work with our industry partners, visit relevant exhibitions, and be inspired by keynote visiting speakers. We also support you in developing the skills and knowledge to set up and manage your own business. Through our collaboration with York Business School we deliver entrepreneurial business modules, demonstrating how creative practice and business can link together.
