Program Overview

This doctoral programme involves interdisciplinary research that cuts across these two disciplines. Students are jointly supervised by a member of the Department of Environment and Geography and the Department of Politics and International Relations. Both Departments have strong research cultures: Environment has a graduate research school of around 40 students and Politics has around 50 research students.

Entry Requirement
We prefer applicants to MPhil/PhD programme to have a relevant Masters degree. Those without should consider first taking one of the Department’s taught MScs degrees or an MSc by Research, a pass in any of which would satisfy minimum entry requirements.
