Our course will deepen and widen your knowledge and understanding of chemical and process engineering specialist topics. The Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) comprises a number of core modules and the MSc is completed through a detailed research investigation and dissertation.
 

For the Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) stage, you will study the following modules:

• Advanced Fluid Mechanics & CFD (core, 20 credits)
• Advanced Heat Transfer (core, 20 credits)
• Process Design, Sustainability and Safety (core, 20 credits)
• Multiphase and Biochemical Reactors Design (core, 20 credits)
• Separation Processes (core, 20 credits)
• Renewable Energy and Energy Storage Systems (core, 10 credits)
• Research Design and Methods (core, 10 credits)
   

Successful completion of these modules allows you to proceed to the Master's dissertation module:

• MSc Dissertation (Chem Eng) (60 credits)

You should possess a good second class Honours degree or equivalent qualification, in chemical engineering or related area from a recognised institution.
 

Applicants with other qualifications with appropriate professional or industrial experience will also be considered.
 

For applicants whose first language is not English, the University sets a minimum English Language proficiency level. The qualifications below must have been gained within two years of the start of your course.
 

General English language requirements at UWS: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic module (not General Training)
