• Grade C or above in GCSE English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
• A Bachelors honours degree of 2:1 or above (or equivalent if it is a non-UK degree) in a relevant subject. If you don't have a degree but have at least 12 months relevant professional experience and/or equivalent qualifications, we would consider you on an individual basis.
• All applicants are required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) enhanced check with UWE Bristol. Offers of a place will be subject to Disclosure of Criminal Background. The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 doesn't apply and all convictions, including those which are spent, must be disclosed. This is in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.

Within health and care organisations and the related health sector, there are career opportunities in research delivery supporting and leading high quality research within the NHS and industry, in academic research to address contemporary health and care challenges and/or to incorporate research within professional practice as part of a portfolio career. Our MRes also provides a route to further career development awards provided by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR).
