Program Overview
If you want to study fundamental physics and its underlying mathematical principles, this course is for you.
You’ll explore the most recent theoretical advances in atomic, condensed-state, nuclear and particle physics. In your final year, you’ll join our teams and research fundamental questions, such as:
- What is the origin of the masses of the known elementary particles?
-
What is the quantum theory of gravitation?
-
How did an asymmetry between matter and antimatter develop in the early universe?
-
How can we test these ideas at experiments, such as the Large Hadron Collider, or the Planck Satellite?
You’ll be part of a close community – our lively Physics Society arranges regular social events. Our building is a real hub of activity. Outside the classroom, you can study or catch up with your friends in our popular student spaces.
