Program Overview

Studying on the PGDE (Secondary) Psychology course is a rewarding and absorbing experience where you will be contributing to a growing subject at a key time in its development. You'll develop your prior understanding of psychology, learning how to make the subject accessible to pupils. You'll also draw on your psychological knowledge in studying how to apply the science of learning in classroom contexts.   • For entry to Strathclyde postgraduate programmes, we'd look for a first-class undergraduate degree (approx 60%) from a recognised Indian institution.
  • Although 60% is a general entry requirement we understand that the marking system in some states and national universities make it harder to achieve 60%, therefore we will accept 55% from University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi etc.
  • Graduates from the IITs and IIMs will also be considered with marks in the region of 55%. If you wish to apply for a research degree you'd normally have to have a Masters degree and some experience of research work.
