Program Overview

This course is a five-year Integrated Masters degree with entry into either Year 1 with Highers or Year 2 with Advanced Highers or A-levels.Biochemistry is the study of how cells work at molecular level. Together with the related field of Molecular Biology, Biochemistry provides important advances into understanding the molecular basis of life, and how alteration or disruption of these molecular pathways leads to disease processes.

Entry Requirement
For entry to Strathclyde postgraduate programmes, we'd look for a first-class undergraduate degree (approx 60%) from a recognised Indian institution.
Although 60% is a general entry requirement we understand that the marking system in some states and national universities make it harder to achieve 60%, therefore we will accept 55% from University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi etc.
Graduates from the IITs and IIMs will also be considered with marks in the region of 55%. If you wish to apply for a research degree you'd normally have to have a Masters degree and some experience of research work.
