Program Overview

The MSc Neuroscience & Mental Health has been designed, with industry feedback, to fill a gap in the postgraduate market for a strong research-led neuroscience Masters degree. You'll develop extensive knowledge and a clear understanding of the practicalities involved in research, drug discovery and development of therapeutic interventions for disorders of the nervous system.

You'll have access to expertise and facilities for in vivo animal studies, such as models for different aspects of learning & memory. The course will include training in associated ethical & legal considerations.

  • For entry to Strathclyde postgraduate programmes, we'd look for a first-class undergraduate degree (approx 60%) from a recognised Indian institution.
  • Although 60% is a general entry requirement we understand that the marking system in some states and national universities make it harder to achieve 60%, therefore we will accept 55% from University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi etc.
  • Graduates from the IITs and IIMs will also be considered with marks in the region of 55%. If you wish to apply for a research degree you'd normally have to have a Masters degree and some experience of research work.
