Program Overview

If you're already working in the finance industry, our MSc Finance will enhance your effectiveness in your current role. We'll explore the latest developments in the field and encourage you to question traditional rules and techniques and take an analytical approach to practical problems. The programme will provide you with:
 

  • a broad understanding of financial theory and analysis
  • equip you with an awareness and understanding of financial markets and institutions in the context of the global economy a working knowledge of accounting information and its use in financial decision-making and analysis
  • For entry to Strathclyde postgraduate programmes, we'd look for a first-class undergraduate degree (approx 60%) from a recognised Indian institution.
  • Although 60% is a general entry requirement we understand that the marking system in some states and national universities make it harder to achieve 60%, therefore we will accept 55% from University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi etc.
  • Graduates from the IITs and IIMs will also be considered with marks in the region of 55%. If you wish to apply for a research degree you'd normally have to have a Masters degree and some experience of research work.
