Program Overview

With a focus on psychological theory, this MA will encourage you to examine the challenges facing education in the 21st century.

This one-year, full-time course examines the challenges facing education in the 21st century, focusing particularly on psychological theory. You will look at the contribution of psychology to education policy and practice in changing international and global contexts.

Course Content
There are four compulsory modules, two which are studied in the autumn semester and two studied in the spring semester. From April to August you will carry out your independent study.
- Critical Issues in Education and Educational Research
- Developmental Psychology
- Critical Psychology and Education
- The Practice of Research
Entry Requirement
You will usually need a 3 or 4 year bachelors degree from a recognised university in a relevant subject for entry. Most postgraduate courses require a UK 2:1 or equivalent for entry, but some courses may consider 2:2 grades.

UK Degree Classification: 2:1 (Upper Second Class Honours), International Equivalent (India): 60%.
