Program Overview

Learn about the design, fabrication and use of a wide range of electronics, circuits, devices and power systems.
 

Your study will take in:

  • electrical machines and power systems such as wind turbines and the national grid
  • electronic devices, circuits and systems such as lasers, microprocessors and computers
  • communication devices and systems such as radio frequency (RF) ​​antennae and 5G mobile networks.

 

At the end of your second year you can choose an area to specialise in or continue with the more general electrical and electronic engineering, which is our most popular course.

You’ll spend your third year working full time for an engineering company. This is a great opportunity to put what you have learnt into context while gaining additional skills and experience to enhance your career prospects.
 

In your final year, you'll carry out your own research project, supervised by an academic.

  • Applicants with a minimum aggregate of 75% and 75-80% in key subjects at Standard XII will typically be considered for direct admission to undergraduate degree programmes.
  • Applicants with a minimum of 3 A levels will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate programmes.
  • International Baccalaureate diploma holders will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate programmes. Required scores and subjects vary from course to course.
