• We require a UK bachelor's degree with a First or Upper Second classification or the overseas equivalent, in any discipline.
• When assessing your academic record we consider your degree subject, grades you have achieved and the standing of the institution where you studied your qualification.
• While we welcome applicants from non-legal backgrounds, it is important to note that this LLM remains a law-focused degree.

• The LLM Security and International Law equips you with advanced legal knowledge and specialist skills for careers focused on conflict regulation, national security and global governance. Our graduates go on to work in areas such as:
• security-law and crisis-risk practice in national and global law firms;
• legal and policy roles within defence ministries, armed forces and intelligence agencies;
• advisory positions at inter-governmental bodies (for example, the United Nations, NATO and the OSCE);
• humanitarian-law and human-rights advocacy with NGOs and international tribunals;
• sanctions, export-control and cybersecurity compliance in multinational corporations.
