Program Overview

You will learn how philosophical theory and analysis can be used to understand and shape public policy, scientific practice and as a force for social and political change.

Through your compulsory modules, you will be introduced to philosophical critiques of society, and of particularly important social institutions, such as science, thereby learning to better understand the world in which we live. You will develop the tools to apply knowledge for use in public life while gaining a solid foundation for postgraduate research in philosophy or the social sciences.

Entry Requirement
- Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university with minimum overall grade or GPA of 60%, 6.0 out of 10, 5.0 out of 8, 3.5 out of 5 or 2.7 out of 4. We are able to offer a level of flexibility for applicants on a case by case basis. For example, we may consider applicants who have achieved a minimum grade of 55% for some courses (5.5 out of 10, 3.0 out of 5.0, 2.5 out of 4.0 or 4.5 out of 8.0).
- Three-year Bachelor's degrees like BComs can be accepted, but sometimes the content covered in such degrees does not provide adequate grounding for our more specialised programmes such as MSc Finance.
