Program Overview
The MSc in Chronic Disease and Immunity is designed for students aspiring to careers in health care, clinical management of complex chronic diseases or are keen to learn about the complex interplay between inflammation and immunology.
This course will build on your excellent foundational knowledge of biology, physiology and biochemistry to provide insight into the inflammatory and immunological mechanisms underlying many of the most important causes of suffering today, including diabetes, chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular inflammatory conditions and other comorbidities. It provides a research-focused degree programme which is comprised of both classroom and laboratory-based learning.
This MSc can be used to build clinical experience or as a preparation for a follow-on PhD. During the course, you will be taught by internationally recognised clinicians who provide world-class patient care within the National Health Service.
