Program Overview

You’ll study literatures in the School of English, from Old English to Jane Austen and Shakespeare, romantic poetry, American and African literatures. To complement this, you’ll explore literatures from across the world (often in translation) and study the cultures and societies of the countries where your language of choice is spoken. Your language modules will ensure that you’ll reach a professional standard in your chosen language through intensive learning and your year abroad.
