• The first year lays the foundation with modules in chemistry, mathematics, physics, computing and an introduction to chemical engineering principles.
  The second year builds on this with core chemical engineering topics like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass transfer, and reactor design.
• During the third year, students undertake a year-long industrial placement to gain practical experience working in the chemical engineering industry. 
• In the final year, students study more advanced subjects such as process control, safety and environmental protection, biochemical engineering, and complete an individual project.

Important Dates

Depending on the program and campus, the university has various intake periods. While the usual intake months for universities are fall (September/October) and spring (January/February), it's important to get precise information directly from the university.

• A-Levels require three subjects, including Mathematics at Grade C. The second subject can be either Physics or Chemistry at Grade C. Applicants with Further Mathematics as their second subject will be considered.
• For BTEC National qualifications, an Extended Diploma in an Engineering subject is necessary, including both Mathematics units at Merit.
• Applicants with A-Level Mathematics at Grade C will be considered if Mathematics units for the BTEC National Diploma/Extended Certificate in an Engineering subject are not included.
• For A-Level and BTEC National qualifications in Applied Science, A-Level Mathematics at Grade C is required.
• International Baccalaureate applicants should have 28 Points overall, with HL Mathematics at 5 and HL Physics or Chemistry at 5.
• Generally, a score of 6.0 is required for the IELTS Academic exam.
