The LLB at Edinburgh is designed to prepare you for a career as a lawyer in Scotland, providing the ideal foundation for further professional study.

In accordance with the requirements of the Law Society of Scotland and the Faculty of Advocates, we will ensure you gain the legal skills and knowledge needed for a future as either a solicitor, or as an advocate, in the Scottish legal profession.

The LLB is not only a gateway to practising law. Many of our graduates opt not to practise law, and find the LLB to be an excellent grounding for many other careers in areas such as:

  • CBSE All India Senior School Certificate Examination (SSC), CISCE Indian School Certificate (ISC) Standard XII: overall 80% with three subjects at 75%.
  • Award of Certificate with five subjects at Class XII, with an overall average of 80% or above and minimum 80% in all required subjects (or 85% where we require a grade A at SQA Higher).
  • Award of Certificate with five subjects at Class XII, with an overall average of 80% or above and minimum 80% in all required subjects (or 85% where we require a grade A at SQA Higher). Grade XII CBSE Applied Mathematics is not accepted to meet a Mathematics subject requirement.
