Program Overview

This programme seeks to provide you with in-depth knowledge and critical understanding of the:

  • international legal institutions
  • rules and principles of the international economic system
  • key legal and policy issues arising from the globalisation of the world economy


Combining detailed technical legal analysis with an engagement with history and political economy, it will help you to place the current chapter of globalisation in its larger context, and to understand where it might be heading.

 

The programme structure is designed to ensure that you gain a thorough knowledge and critical understanding of three core branches of international economic law the compulsory courses:

  • international trade law
  • international investment law
  • international development law
  • You can also choose a tailored selection of option courses, depending on your personal interests and future career plans.
  • CBSE All India Senior School Certificate Examination (SSC), CISCE Indian School Certificate (ISC) Standard XII: overall 80% with three subjects at 75%.
  • Award of Certificate with five subjects at Class XII, with an overall average of 80% or above and minimum 80% in all required subjects (or 85% where we require a grade A at SQA Higher). Grade XII CBSE Applied Mathematics is not accepted to meet a Mathematics subject requirement.
  • Award of Certificate with five subjects at Class XII, with an overall average of 80% or above and minimum 80% in all required subjects (or 85% where we require a grade A at SQA Higher).
  • Advanced entry direct into Year 2 of many of our Science and Engineering degree programmes is possible for applicants who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement in the Higher Secondary School Certificate, but only where awarded by CBSE or CISCE. Advanced entry is offered into Year 2 to students from India with the relevant Indian boards. For advanced entry applicants must achieve the award of Certificate with minimum of five subjects at Class XII, with an overall average of 85% or above and minimum 85% in all required subjects as stated in our prospectus.
