This joint honours programme allows you to study two complementary European languages in their global cultural contexts. Both languages are among the 10 most widely spoken in the world, extending beyond Europe to large parts of Africa and the Americas. Most of our graduates started as complete beginners in Portuguese. Through intensive language study, including a year abroad, you will have the opportunity to acquire advanced spoken and written skills in this language, as well as in French.
