Automation and Robotics

This module develops your knowledge and understanding of industrial and mobile robots, including other key components and software which make up robotic systems; and provides you with knowledge of a wide range of topics in the field of robotics, including the development of robots in the context of industrial applications and mobile robots.

Smart Industries and Digital Manufacturing

This module will introduce you to the principles of Industry 4.0 (fourth industrial revolution) including the current trends in smart sensing, automation and data exchange in manufacturing. You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how industry 4.0 integrates smart sensors, communication networks and cloud storage to optimise production and enhance manufacturing yield.

Structural Stability and Dynamics

The module aims to provide you with a systematic understanding of advanced knowledge of structural stability and dynamics of structures; to enable you to critically appraise and apply current structural stability and dynamics analysis methods.
