Overview
About
The University of Dundee is a public research university located in Dundee, Scotland. It was established in 1881 as a university college due to a gift from the illustrious Baxter family of textile producers. The organisation shared St Andrews with United College and St Mary's College throughout the majority of its early years as a constituent college of the University of St Andrews. The university received independent university status by royal charter in 1967 after undergoing major development while keeping some of its old heritage and governance system.
Many of the university's teaching and research facilities, including the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee Law School, and the Dundee Dental Hospital and School, are housed on the university's main campus, which is in Dundee's West End. The university also has facilities at Perth Royal Infirmary, which has a clinical research centre, Ninewells Hospital, which houses its school of medicine, and Kirkcaldy, Fife, which houses a portion of its school of nursing and health sciences. With an expenditure of £269.0 million, the institution's yearly income for 2020 - 2021 was £275.7 million, of which £73.9 million came from grants and contracts for research.
Sir James Black, a scientist who won the Nobel Prize, is one of this university's prominent graduates. Other distinguished graduates include Ronald Coase (Economist & Nobel Laureate), Sir James Alfred Ewing (Notable Physicist), Margaret Fairlie (First Female Professor of Scotland) and many others.

Moreover, not all scholarships cover 100% of your study abroad expenses. At such times, most students resort to acquiring education loans to avoid the financial hassles associated with studying at the university.
