Semester one

You will take these units

• Marketing, sustainability and society

• Consumer psychology

• Marketing to businesses and organisations

• Strategic marketing

• Advertising theory and practice
   

Semester two

Compulsory units
 

You will take these units:

• Strategic brand management

• E-marketing

• International marketing across cultures

• Research methods for marketing

Summer: Dissertation or Practice Track

You will finish the course by choosing one of these two options:
 

• Dissertation Track
   

You will produce a unique piece of research using techniques learned throughout the year.

Typically, we require a Bachelor degree with a final overall result of at least First Class. However, due to the number of different grading scales in use, we ask that you upload a copy of the grading scale used by your institution, along with your transcript, when you submit your application.
 

Type of degree
 

• Your degree can be in any discipline but must include an appropriate level of business/management and marketing related content. If you don’t have a suitable first degree, consider our MSc in Management, which allows you to specialise in marketing.
• If you studied your undergraduate degree in the UK, your qualification must be equivalent to a 2:1 or above.
• We may make an offer based on a lower grade if you can provide evidence of your suitability for the degree.
   

Work experience
 

In exceptional cases, relevant work experience may be a substitute for the degree requirement. You should have no more than three years’ relevant work experience.
 

English language requirements
 

IELTS
 

You will need an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of at least 7.0 overall. Your scores for reading, writing, listening and speaking must be at least 6.5.
 

These results must be no more than two years old from the start date of your MSc course.
