Master a set of marketable skills to a professional standard with this flexible programme which offers to develop your understanding and application of translation and interpreting theories and techniques as well as equips you with expertise in conference and public service interpreting.

Course Content
Stage 1

Candidates undertake the following:
- TL5001 - Language-Specific Translation Portfolio (15 credit points)
- LN5009 - Key Concepts and Methods in translation studies (30 credit points)
- LN5028 - Introduction to Conference Interpreting (30 credit points)
Stage 2
- TL5001 Language-Specific Translation Portfolio continues into second semester
Stage 3
- Dissertation in Translation Studies (LN5907)
Entry Requirement
For State and Central Universities we would look for a minimum of 60% for programmes requiring a 2.2 degree.
For Private and Deemed Universities we would look for a minimum of 65% for programmes requiring a 2.2 degree.
While the above is a general guide we understand that the marking system in some states and national universities make it harder to achieve 60%, therefore we will accept 55% from the University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi etc. among others. Graduates from the IITs and IIMs will also be considered with marks in the region of 55%.
