Program Overview

Our BSc Animal Behaviour and Welfare prepares students for graduate careers by providing an exciting opportunity to explore the science that underpins our understanding of animal behaviour and welfare. We are the only University in Scotland to offer HND Animal Care students the opportunity to “top up” their qualifications with a BSc Honours degree. This additional qualification will enhance your employability and open up additional opportunities in terms of career options and further study.

  • Arts: At Standard XII a minimum percentage of 75% overall. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements.
  • Science: At Standard XII a minimum percentage of 75% overall, including 75% or more in two science subjects, or Mathematics and a science subject. A minimum grade of 75% is required where the prospectus specifies good performance in a particular subject. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements.
  • Biomedical sciences: At Standard XII a minimum percentage of 80% overall, including 80% or more in two science subjects, or Mathematics and a science subject. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements.
  • Engineering: At Standard XII a minimum percentage of 75% overall, including 75% or more in Mathematics and Physics. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements.
  • Law: At Standard XII a minimum percentage of 80% overall. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements.
