University Academy 92 is an educational facility which is situated in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. Manchester United football players and Lancaster University collaborated to establish it. The Manchester United footballers who won the 1992 FA Youth Cup, notably Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Phil Neville, and Nicky Butt, co-founded UA92 with Lancaster University. The players sought to establish a university that would draw students who "otherwise might not move on to higher education" after their promising careers in football.
