About

Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is a world-renowned conservatoire located in London, UK. It is a merger of two historic schools, Trinity College of Music and Laban Dance Centre. Established in 2005, it has campuses in Greenwich, Deptford and New Cross. Henry George Bonavia Hunt established Trinity College of Music in the heart of London in 1872 with the goal of enhancing the instruction of church music. 

 

As for Laban Dance Centre, it was established in Manchester under the name Art of Movement Studio by Austrian-Hungarian dancer, choreographer, and movement theorist Rudolf Laban. The academy renamed itself the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance after moving from Manchester to Addlestone in Surrey in 1958 and subsequently to New Cross in London in 1975.
