The college is actively seeking to establish new scholarships aimed at supporting students with specific characteristics, including race, gender, and disability. Priority is given to those studying bassoon, French horn, viola, double bass, and oboe, as well as students experiencing financial hardship. As part of the ambitious Promise campaign, the college has committed to doubling the number of scholarships sourced from individuals, businesses, and trusts.
The Sir Geraint Evans Scholarship Fund has been created to commemorate the centenary of the birth of the esteemed Welsh opera singer, Sir Geraint Evans. This scholarship aims to assist opera students facing financial challenges in meeting their training expenses. Sir Geraint, a highly esteemed figure in the opera world, graced the College as its President until his passing in 1992. The Fund, named in his honour, focuses on supporting baritones and Welsh students, nurturing future opera talents.
