The past decade has seen enormous advances in molecular and biomedical technology resulting in an ‘omics’ revolution. Bioinformatics (health data science) covers the application of mathematics, statistics and computing to biological and clinical scenarios. Algorithms and software tools are used to understand and interpret patient-derived ‘Big Data’

Entry Requirement
Entry to graduate diploma or taught masters programmes at Queen's University Belfast usually requires either a UK upper second-class (2:1) or a lower second-class (2:2) undergraduate degree. For most courses, your major subject or content of your Bachelor degree may also be considered.
UK Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1) : First Division Pass and a minimum final average of 58 - 60% (in the traditional system), or CGPA 5.8 - 7.5 on the 10 point scale; depending on the institution attended and the grading system used.
