• Critical Issues in International Management (20 credits): The aims of the module are to enable students to reach a well-grounded understanding of the theory and practice of International Management and relate it to events taking place at a global and national level, while developing critical awareness of major current developments. 
• Accounting for Managers (20 credits): This module develops critical understanding of essential management accounting and finance topics within a business environment, to develop critical understanding of the importance of managing customer value parameters (cost, quality, and time) through management accounting practices for value creation 
• International Marketing (20 credits): The module aims to: enable students to investigate, analyse and evaluate the role and scope of marketing activities within an international perspective and context; and investigate, analyse and assess a focused international marketing opportunity.
• Strategic Human Resource Management (20 credits): This module will enable students to: explain and critique the core theories of strategic human resource management (SHRM); develop a critical awareness and understanding of the employment relationship and reflect critically on the realities of contemporary human resource management (eg the nature of the employment relationship in the context of different business strategies); and develop analytical and professional skills which can be applied to leading change and managing work and people in their workplace.
• Strategy and Leadership (20 credits): This module will provide the concepts, frameworks and techniques of strategic management and leadership decision-making that enables students to critically evaluate and synthesise competitive conditions, appraise corporate capabilities and lead businesses towards a sustainable and competitive advantage in industry.
• Plus an elective module OR Research Methods* (20 credits): The module aims to provide students with a deep understanding of the way that research is designed, conducted, and communicated and to use this to develop a viable proposal for future research.

To obtain the MSc, you will choose to progress with one of the following capstone options:
 

• Business Consultancy in Practice (60 credits): This option will provide the opportunity to design and deliver a live project for a client. You will critically evaluate the consultancy role and practice through a live consultancy project. You will research, develop and deliver the project in collaboration with a business/organisation. The module will be assessed, not on the success of the project, but on your planning, problem solving and reflection upon the consultancy cycle which will include a researched client consultancy report and personal development plan. While there may be the opportunity to work with staff to identify a partner business, the onus to find a real-world project will be on you. Recent project clients have included a major airline, global pharmaceutical company, whisky industry, top five bank, publishing house, European professional basketball team, food companies, charities, big three accounting and consulting organisations, global hotel brands, Irish environmental company,  online retailers, local authority, environmental energy agency, major oil and chemical producer and digital marketing agency.

• The Business Incubation Programme (60 credits): the aim of this module is to critically evaluate a range of nascent, micro and family businesses and to develop, through inception, investigation and planning, a new start-up business or social enterprise.

• Dissertation (60 credits): To enable students to develop, plan and critically evaluate a piece of research in the relevant degree subject related area, written up in the form of a dissertation.

• Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, or relevant woirk experience at managerial level.
• International: You will be required to provide evidence of English language competence at no less than IELTS 6.5 with no individual component score less than 6.0.
• Some modules may require individuals to be working in the specific area of practice and have the support of the client and work place mentor.
• Accreditation of prior learning: You may be granted exemption from studying a module or modules up to a maximum of 60 credit points, provided you can demonstrate successful achievement of all the learning outcomes.
