MA Multimedia Journalism

Year 1

You will develop a solid foundation in the principles and practices of good journalism with our core units, learning how to cover stories for print, web, TV and radio, and how to adapt a story from one medium to another. 
 
From this foundation, you will then have the opportunity to focus your study further by exploring a range of options, including those needed to graduate with the specialism, MA Multimedia Journalism (Broadcast).

You will normally have a lower second class UK honours degree (or international equivalent) in any discipline.

Applicants whose first language is not English (and whose first degree was not taught in English) are required to produce evidence of English Language proficiency.

Overseas applicants will require IELTS with an overall score of 7.0 with no less than 6.5 in any category, or an equivalent accepted English qualification.

UK AND CHANNEL ISLAND STUDENTS
Full-time fee: £10,000 per year. Tuition fees will remain the same for each year of your course providing you complete it in the normal timeframe (no repeat years or breaks in study).

EU AND NON-EU INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Full-time fee: £18,500 per year. Tuition fees will remain the same for each year of your course providing you complete it in the normal timeframe (no repeat years or breaks in study).

On successful completion of the course, you will be ideally placed to pursue a career at the forefront of multimedia journalism as a multi-skilled reporter or presenter.
