The Wealth-X and UBS's "Billionaire Census" in 2014, ranked LSE 10th out of twenty schools with the most billionaire alumni. The LSE was the only British university on the list. According to statistics from the Department for Education in 2018, LSE has been rated the best university for increasing graduate earnings, with male and female graduates earning 38.2% to 47.2% more than the average graduate.
According to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020, the LSE is ranked 2nd in the world for geography, 3rd for communication and media studies, social policy and administration, and sociology and in the top 10 for accounting and finance, anthropology, business and management studies, development studies, economics, and management. It is ranked 20th for the arts and humanities. LSE ranked 64th out of 154 for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2020. This increase in student satisfaction in 2020 resulted in a 14-place jump to 5th in the Guardian ranking for 2021.
