Structure

Required modules

Modules are taking over the course of two years. You are required to take:

• Integrated Physiotherapy Practice 1: Long Term Conditions and Rehabilitation (Year 1) (30 credits)
• Integrated Physiotherapy Practice 2: Acute, Emergency and Primary Care (Year 1) (30 credits)
• Evidence Based Practice: Assessment, Measurement and Evaluating Questions in Practice (Year 1) (15 credits)
• Communication and Reasoning: Inclusive Communication and Influencing Behaviour (Year 1) (15 credits)
• Practice Education 1 (Year 1) (0 credits)
• Integrated Physiotherapy Practice 3: Managing Complexity (Year 2) (30 credits)
• Leadership: Team-working and Improving Healthcare (Year 2) (15 credits)
• Researching Practice Project (Year 2) (45 credits)
• Practice Education 2 (Year 2) (0 credits)
   

Standard requirements
A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 60% or above.

If you have a lower degree classification, or a degree in an unrelated subject, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or offer a related graduate qualification (such as a Masters or PGDip).

Other requirements
Minimum 2:1 first degree in biomedical sciences or relevant disciplines such as Psychology and Sports Science. Applicants with degrees in other disciplines will be assessed on their merits.

In addition, applicants should have evidence of training in statistics, research methods and/or a dissertation at BSc level. They should also have the skills to critically evaluate material and study independently.

UK:
Full time: £9,250 per year (2022/23)

International:
Full time: £29,310 per year (2022/23)

On completion of the programme, you will be able to apply for registration to practise as a physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). This enables you to practise in a wide variety of settings and is mandatory for employment within the NHS. You will also be eligible to apply for full membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). 

Whilst a significant majority of recent graduates go on to work in healthcare including the NHS, they are increasingly taking on roles in emerging areas for Physiotherapists including Social Care, Public Health, sports and leisure, clinical and academic research and other graduate opportunities.
