Course Content
Courses are divided into modules. Each year you will normally take modules totalling 120 credits.

This is a three-year degree course in which you will take a combination of required and optional modules to total 360 credits.

Year 1

Required modules

You are required to do the following modules
- Foundations for Children's Nursing (60 credits)
- Fundamental Skills for Children's Nurse (30 credits)
- Becoming a Children's Nurse (15 credits)
- An optional module (15 credits) - see below
Year 2

Required modules

You are required to do the following modules
- Promoting and optimising health in Children's nursing (60 credits)
- Nursing Process in Action (30 credits)
- Pharmacology for Healthcare Practice (15 credits)
- An optional module (15 credits) - see below
Year 3

Required modules

You are required to do the following modules
- Professional Practice as a Children's Nurse (60 credits)
- Clinical Care and Decision-Making (30 credits)
- An optional module relating to a specialist area of children’s nursing (2 x 15 credit modules or a 30 credit module) - see below
Entry Requirement
Must be registered on as a student at your home university for the duration of your time at King's (i.e you cannot be on a leave of absence from your degree) and your university is transferring at least some of the credits earned at King's towards your degree.
Undergraduate students must be registered on a BA/BSc/LLB or equivalent undergraduate degree.
Undertaken a minimum of 1 year of university level study.
