Program Overview

This joint honours mathematics and philosophy degree offers an extremely wide choice of philosophy modules, with coverage from pre-Socrates to the present day and particular teaching strengths in philosophy of mind, philosophy of science and ancient philosophy. The mathematics element gives you a foundation in many branches of mathematics, including algebra, analysis, probability and geometry. You can choose to take the Mathematics & Philosophy with a Year Abroad BSc pathway, where you will spend your third year studying abroad before returning to complete a final year with King's.

Course Content
The course is divided into modules and each year you will normally take modules totalling 120 credits.

Year 1

In your first year, you will take 75 credits from Mathematics and 45 credits from Philosophy.

In your first year you are required to take one module from each of these three groups which may typically include:

Entry Requirement
Must be registered on as a student at your home university for the duration of your time at King's (i.e you cannot be on a leave of absence from your degree) and your university is transferring at least some of the credits earned at King's towards your degree.
Undergraduate students must be registered on a BA/BSc/LLB or equivalent undergraduate degree.
Undertaken a minimum of 1 year of university level study.
