Required modules

Courses are divided into modules. You will normally take modules totalling 180 credits.

You are required to take the following modules:
 

• Topics in the Analysis of Emerging Economies (15 credits)

• Development Theory and Emerging Economies (15 credits)

• Dissertation (60 Credits)

You must also take at least one 15-credit methods module, out of the following four:
 

• Quantitative Methods for Social Science (15 credits)

• Advanced Quantitative Methods for Causal Inference (15 credits)

• Introduction to Qualitative Methods (15 credits)

• Advanced Qualitative Methods (15 credits)

Standard requirements

A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 60% or above.

If you have a lower degree classification, or a degree in an unrelated subject, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or offer a related graduate qualification (such as a Masters or PGDip).

Other requirements

Bachelor's degree with 2:1 honours in such related subjects as international development, politics, economics or other social science or regional studies.

You will also be considered if you have professional development-related work experience.

UK:
Full time: £11,040 per year

International:
Full time: £24,660 per year
