Structure

Required modules

Courses are divided into modules. You will normally take modules totalling 180 credits. You are required to take:

• Theorising Big Data (30 credits)
• Big Data in Practice: Co-laboratories, Tools & Methods (30 credits)
• Social and Cultural Analytics (15 credits)
• Big Data & the Law: Foundations, Regimes & Principles, Challenges (15 credits)
• Dissertation (60 Credits)

Standard requirements
A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 60% or above.

If you have a lower degree classification, or a degree in an unrelated subject, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or offer a related graduate qualification (such as a Masters or PGDip).

This programme is now closed to International Applicants for the 2022 intake

Bachelor's degree with 2:1 honours in an English, Arts, Humanities or Social Science degree, or a related discipline.

In order to meet the academic entry requirements for this programme you should have a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme. If you are still studying you should be achieving an average of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme.

UK:
Full time: £11,040 per year (2022/23)

International:
Full time: £27,900 per year (2022/23)
