• A 2:2 honours degree or equivalent in a comparable subject area is required, preferably in Earth, Environmental, or General Science. A more diverse undergraduate/graduate background is also feasible.
• Non-related degrees will be taken into consideration for postgraduate conversion courses.
• Corporate (or chartered) membership in relevant professional organisations will also be considered.
• PG Applicants for diploma level entrance must have an average degree in a comparable subject area as well as relevant post-qualification industrial experience. 
• Candidates who do not fulfil the above entry standards or have no formal academic qualifications will be considered individually based on their CV and may be interviewed. Admission through this route is at the discretion of the Director of Recruitment.
• Students whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency through accepted examinations such as IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 85.
