• During the taught component of the degree, each student takes eight semester-long courses. These are linked in pairs, one for each semester. 
• One pair of courses on Actuarial Risk Management is required and corresponds to subject CP1. It applies actuarial mathematics principles to a variety of financial and insurance applications. Students select at least two pairs of courses from a selection that includes Life Office Management (subject SP2), Pensions (subject SP4), Investment and Finance (subject SP5), Derivatives (subject SP6), and Enterprise Risk Management (subject SP9).
• The student's first degree may involve actuarial studies; therefore, this may influence course selection. Depending on individual circumstances, additional optional courses, such as those from the MSc in Actuarial Science or other disciplines, may be made available. 
• Students who choose to complete three pairs of courses, potentially resulting in exemptions from three SP disciplines, will have an extraordinarily diverse choice of job prospects.
