Program Overview

This five-year course takes the basics of BEng in Mechanical Engineering and delves deeper, with an emphasis on industry relevance.

 

You'll learn the principles of the field and use the latest technology to devise and implement practical solutions across a range of industry applications.

 


Bursary available for September 2022 entry


Scottish students who start this degree in September 2022 by direct entry to Year 2 or Year 3 of the programme, following an HNC or HND at a Scottish college, will be eligible for a bursary of £1200 in their year of entry to support their living costs in the transition to university. The bursary will be paid in two instalments of £600 in September and December 2022 following successful matriculation on the programme. This is payable in addition to any other financial support that students may be eligible for.

B2 Communicator Test with overall 39 or above, and 25 or above in all skills

Students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland will be invoiced the tuition fees for 3 years of their 4 years of study. Please note that the tuition fees liable to be paid by mainland EU nationals commencing their studies from 1 August 2022 will be the Overseas fee rate. The University offers a range of attractive Tuition Fee bursaries to students resident in specific countries. More information on these can be found here. For EU students who commenced their studies prior to 1 August 2022 or hold pre or settled status in the UK, fees will remain the same as Scottish Students.
