Every society has certain expectations of its children. So what happens when young people don’t fit the mould? On our BA Childhood & Youth Studies and Criminology, you’ll examine childhood development while exploring different ideas about the causes of crime, particularly violent crime. Together we’ll also analyse the role and function of the criminal justice system, asking questions like: how does social status affect access to and experience of justice and rights?
