Duration:

• Full-time: 1 year (plus up to 1 year for dissertation)

• Part-time: 2 years (plus up to 1 year for dissertation)

Made up of:

• Core modules (30 credits)

• Discipline specific modules (45-60 credits)

• Elective modules (30-45 credits)

  • You may choose up to 45 credits of elective modules from a range of modules offered within the School of Health and Psychological Sciences. The list below is not exhaustive.

  To apply for this course, you should have:

  • a second-class honours degree or the equivalent from an international institution

  • a lower qualification such as Diploma in Midwifery may be considered with appropriate prior experience. You would normally be expected to have been practicing as a qualified midwife for at least one year

  • at least one year's experience as a practising and qualified midwife.

  If you do not hold a degree, your application may still be considered on the basis of your professional experience.

 

English language requirements

 

If your first language is not English, one of the following is also required:

• A first degree from a UK university or an overseas institution recognised by City as providing adequate evidence of proficiency in the English language. For example, from institutions in Australia, Canada or the USA

• IELTS: 7.0

• Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 72

• TOEFL 100 overall.
