The programme is designed to give you hands-on opportunities to learn about the implications, applications, limitations and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence in various private, public and third sectors. You will learn how to determine when to pursue new, frontier technologies and consider options for how to implement them for wider organisational and societal benefits.
You will develop the expertise to plan, design and implement appropriate and ethical AI solutions in practical scenarios, with a focus on business applications of artificial intelligence and learn to prepare for future challenges of AI.
This course can be studied 1 year full-time, 16 months full-time with placement or 2 years full-time with placement, starting in September. Or this course can be studied 15 months full-time, 19 months full-time with placement or 27 months full-time with placement, starting in January.

- Enables you to appreciate the issues and challenges that confront managers responsible for artificial intelligence and its implications for leadership when (re)aligning business models, structures, embedding corporate governance in an AI context

- Gives you an overview of the technical details and challenges that face AI application design, development and adoption within organisational settings and covering AI applications using Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- MG5708 - Artificial Intelligence Strategy and Transformation
- Ensures you understand and evaluate various AI Strategies and transformation options from corporate, institutional, and national perspectives including methodological approaches, and strategies relevant to the adoption, implementation, diffusion of AI.
- MG5630 - Dissertation
- Allows you to demonstrate and evidence their expertise through a piece of independent research, including identification of the research enquiry, data collection and analysis and presentation of results. Under the supervision of an academic member of staff, students develop as an independent learner and brings together their knowledge and skills gained during the programme for the analysis of a specific AI Strategy related problem.

- Provides you with an in-depth understanding of legal and ethical concerns, implications, and risks of using artificial intelligence and machine learning in various sectors and the tools available to enhance legally compliant and ethically responsible use of artificial intelligence.

- You will apply your learning from each term to address a major AI related challenge faced by organisations in the public, private or third sector. You will work in groups to identify and make the case for their holistic AI ‘solutions’ to address these challenges. Exemplar challenges will include Grand Challenges and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
