Program Overview

If you already work in the IT sector, or you intend to pursue a career in IT or a research degree, our MSc Advanced Computing Technologies is designed to advance your knowledge of advanced computing technologies, data science and data analytics. This specialised course will provide you with the skills to analyse problems in the evaluation and application of technologies, and in research into, and development of, new technologies.

The Master's degree in advanced computing technologies focuses on areas of expertise and research specialisation within the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, and covers state-of-the-art techniques in, for example, the management and analysis of 'big data', software development of information systems in cloud, mobile and web-based architectures, and computational methods for intelligent information management and analysis.

Entry Requirement
A second-class honours degree (2:2) or above or MSc in computer science, with the syllabus containing a substantial amount of programming, preferably in an object-oriented language. Joint honours computing graduates may also be eligible, provided they have covered a substantial amount of programming, or have equivalent professional experience in the IT industry.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
